We got Tumblr’s attention with our past peaceful protest campaigns

Maybe it is time we use our beloved Tumblr to protest this sexist policy that marks female nipples as porn. Tumblr is being extreme in what its decision and policies, and is using a useless algorithm that sees Rothko paintings (see @dailyrothko) and flowers and all kinds of non-porn images as porn.
So, on Monday, 12-17-18, we should not post anything on Tumblr, except the above photo, which is available here. NOTE: You can also add these to your avatar to let anyone who visits your site know about this.
As this post suggests, if we have a queue with images, we should add this one to 12-17-18. As part of our protest, we should not do anything on Tumblr for the whole day: no dashboard, no posts, no comments, chat, replies. We should also, as recommended by @jtmportland, we should also completely log out to show a physical drop in traffic/use.
Nothing on Tumblr, all day, M, 12-17-18. Even log out completely for the day so there is a drop in traffic/use.
Also, please think about putting @staff & @support on any and all reblogs of this and any on any posts about this, since this will send them a direct notification of each and every post about this. We need to flood their dashboards so they see we are upset.
I will be off tumblr for a few weeks, thank you all for the stupendous support, respect, reblogs, likes and all the rebloggers for the astonishing support. Stay well, have a great and safe journey everyone. See you soon!!! Silvio

It is with great pleasure that Nur, Thierry and Matthew introduce the
newest member of the ‘excuse me..’ family: Jules Falk Hunter.
Jules, as many of you may well know, is not only a great photographer whose work can be seen on Just Jules, and The dead letter office … but she also shares reblogs other peoples work on ’Fragments of broken dreams’ and is part of the fabulous Luxlit team! *
Here are a few words from Jules:
“When I joined tumblr in 2010 it was very much an unknown quantity,
but I was looking for somewhere to carve out a bit of space where I
wasn’t ‘mama’ or ‘Mrs. Fred’. A place where I could be just 'Jules’.
Photography has given me an outlet for my creative side; it hasn’t
brought me fame and fortune, but it has brought something extremely
valuable. Friendship. And a little more confidence to trust my eye. I
confess I get more pleasure curating then sharing my own work. Once upon
a time my sister and I dreamed of running a little café/ art-gallery/
bookshop and no doubt this is my small way of realising that. I was
thrilled when Matthew, Nur and Thierry invited me to join them as I feel
we share a similar goal and vision. I am looking forward to a new
challenge and to creative and exciting times ahead!”
*Just to clear up any possible confusion, Jules will still be part of Luxlit and her other blogs as mentioned above.
I
starting urban and street photography in 2012, it is a very addictive
art, because you need lots of walk, for you to get the perfect subjects
on your frame and then enjoy the finish job.
Having
the privilege to live close to New York City, it gives me a chance to
acquirer most of my photos, it is an amazing vibrant, colorful and 100%
pure adrenaline city. You can start to filling that, at the moment you
arriving at.
It is very interest to see the metropolitan dynamic life and the
energetic quotidian life of the city. I also photograph buildings,
parks, infrared and analog. New York City it is definitely an
unbelievable or possible the best city for urban and street photography.
Walking the streets of this big city it is an infinity joy, the people,
the smells of the streets, the vendors and the architecture. It is an
unstoppable city.
